What is the sliding bolt used for?
Drawer bolts are used as a locking option for small wooden doors, garden gates & windows because of their narrow base plate. The push bolt is suitable for both right and left turning doors.
How is the sliding bolt constructed and how is it used?
The deadbolt consists of three components, a bolt, the base plate and a loop for bolt locking. When installing the flat bolt with its total length of 80 mm, it is important to note that the bolt can be pushed out 33 mm.
The base plate connected to the bolt has a dimension of 80 x 35 mm. It is screwed to a door or gate by means of 6 holes with a Ø of 3 mm. The loop for bolt locking has a length of 13 mm and a width of 40 mm, this is screwed on 2 screw-on points with a Ø of 3 mm.
What should be considered and what are the technical details of the door bolt?
Due to its straight design, the base plate and the loop should be at the same height during installation. The bolt slide is available in the following sizes: 80 x 35 mm, 100 x 35 mm and 120 x 35 mm. Thanks to the galvanic zinc coating, the push bolts are protected against external weather conditions.
