What is the post shoe used for?
These "split" Beam shoes, mainly used in timber construction, are ideal for fastening wooden beams whose dimensions deviate from the standard. To assemble the beam, one Beam shoe with an outer right-hand lug and one outer left-hand lug are required. This makes it possible to connect the wooden beam to another wooden post as well as to the masonry or concrete.
How is the Beam shoe constructed and how is it used?
The holes with a diameter of 5 mm, 9 mm and 11 mm are already pre-drilled, making installation quick and easy with the appropriate fastening accessories. The number of holes depends on the size of the Beam shoe. You will find the information in brackets next to the available sizes.
The split Beam shoes have a material thickness of 2 mm. Thanks to the sendzimir galvanised surface of the steel, our Beam shoes are optimally protected against external weather influences.
