What is the post base used for?

Beam shoes are mainly used in timber construction to create a stable connection between the secondary beams and the main beams. It is also possible to connect the timber beam to masonry and concrete. Beam shoes type B are characterised by the two lugs that are angled inwards. This means that part of the Beam shoe is no longer visually visible after installation.

How is the Beam shoe constructed and how is it used?

The holes with diameters of 5 mm, 9 mm, 11 mm and 14 mm are already pre-drilled, making installation quick and easy with the appropriate fastening accessories. This means that both horizontal wooden beams and vertical wooden posts can be securely and quickly fastened in the Beam shoe support. The number of holes depends on the size of the timber connector. You will find the information in brackets next to the available sizes.

The sendzimir galvanised surface of the steel means that our Beam shoes are optimally protected against external weather influences.
