What is the flat bolt used for?
Deadbolts straight are used as a closing variant for garden gates and doors, these are very popular due to their robust flat bolt. The door bolt is suitable for both right and left turning doors.
How is the door bolt constructed and how is it used?
The door bolt consists of three components, a bolt, the base plate and a loop for the bolt locking. During assembly, it is important to note that the flat bolt of the deadbolt can be pushed out 25 mm.
The base plate with the dimension 100 x 45 mm is screwed to a door or gate at 6 screw-on points with a Ø of 5 mm. The loop for bolt locking has a length of 50 mm and a width of 15 mm, this is screwed at two screw points with a Ø of 5 mm, to the part which is to be locked with the door.
What should be considered and what are the technical details of the deadbolt?
Due to the straight design of the bolt, the base plate and the loop should be at the same height during installation. The bolt is available in the following sizes: 100 x 45 mm, 120 x 45 mm and 140 x 50 mm. Thanks to the galvanic zinc coating, the sliding bolts are protected against external weather conditions.
