What is the Post Support on plate used for
Post Support on plate, also known as a ground socket, is suitable for fastening or dowelling square posts and fence posts. They are suitable for wooden constructions up to 1.50 m.
How is the ground sleeve constructed and how is it used?
Since the Post Support on plate is dowelled or screwed on, installation is very quick and easy. The post sleeve is dowelled to the ground through the holes on the base plate. To secure the post in the sleeve, holes are pre-drilled parallel to each other on the sleeve walls.
The substrate must ensure stable installation, such as a concrete foundation. The post must not rest on the bottom of the sleeve as otherwise moisture can penetrate the wood. Under-ventilation must be provided.
What needs to be considered and what technical details does the Post base have?
The Post base is available in the following Hullsizes: 71 x 71 mm, 81 x 81 mm, 91 x 91 mm, 101 x 101 mm, 121 x 121 mm, 141 x 141 mm. The hot-dip galvanisation protects the Post supports from external weather influences.
