What is the Post Support on plate used for?
Post base, also known as a ground sleeve, is suitable for fixing or bolting down square posts and fence posts. The ground sockets are suitable for wooden structures up to 1.50 m.
How is the ground socket constructed and how is it used?
Since the Post Supports on plate are bolted or screwed on, assembly is very quick and easy. The post sleeve is anchored to the ground through the holes on the base plate. Holes are pre-drilled parallel to each other on the sleeve walls to secure the post in the sleeve.
The ground must be firm enough to ensure stability, such as a concrete foundation. The post must not rest on the bottom of the sleeve, otherwise moisture can penetrate the wood. There must be ventilation below.
What should be considered and what are the technical details of the post base?
The post base is available in the following sizes: 71 x 71 mm, 81 x 81 mm, 91 x 91 mm, 101 x 101 mm, 121 x 121 mm, 141 x 141 mm. Post supports are protected against external weather influences by hot-dip galvanisation.
