What is the offset deadbolt used for?

Sliding bolts with offset with strike plate are a robust and practical locking variant for locking windows, garden gates and doors with a height difference of 15 mm. The door bolt is suitable for both right and left-hand doors.

How is the Tail latch constructed and how is it used?

The door bolt consists of three components, a bolt, the base plate and a strike plate for the Tail latch. During installation, it must be ensured that the cranked flat bolt of the deadbolt can be pushed out 20 mm.

The base plate, measuring 100 x 45 mm, is screwed to a door or gate at 6 screw-on points with a Ø of 5 mm. The strike plate has a length of 40 mm and a width of 25 mm, this is screwed into the frame to be locked with the door at two screw-on points with a Ø of 5 mm.

What should be noted and what technical details does the Slide bolt have?

Due to the 15 mm crank of the bolt, the base plate and loop should not be at the same height during installation. The bolt slide is available in the following sizes: 100 x 45 mm, 120 x 45 mm and 140 x 50 mm. Thanks to the galvanised coating, the Slide bolts are protected against external weather influences.
