What is the Nut for scaffolding spindle used for?

How is the threaded nut constructed and how is it used?

This spindle nut can be screwed onto our scaffolding spindles with a Ø 38 mm thread from the top until it locks into the thread. As not every Base Jack has the same thread, please note that this Nut for scaffolding spindle is suitable for our galvanised Base Jacks without lug and adjusting nut.
