What is the safety peat trap used for?

How is the peat trap constructed and how is this used?
The hasp consists of 2 components, the hasp and the eye plate. Due to the double joint, this security hasp is also suitable for unevenly closing doors.
The concealed screw-on plate is screwed to 4 screw-on points on a door or gate. The eyelet plate is screwed to two screw points with a Ø of 4 mm on the part which is to be closed with the door.
