What is the Garden gate latch used for?
Garden gate latches are used as a locking variant for wooden doors and garden gates thanks to their quick and easy installation. The length of the operating lever makes it easy to use from the outside.
How is the latch constructed and how is it used?
The latch consists of three components, a lever, the base plate and a striking plate for bolt locking. The lever is attached to the base plate with a hexagon head screw. By loosening the hexagon head screw, the height of the lever can be adjusted and the stop can be changed.
During installation, the base plate with the bolt on it is attached to a door or gate; in turn, the strike plate is screwed to a post or frame to enable locking.
What should be noted and what technical details does the gate latch have?
The strike plate has an incline to ensure that the bolt locks automatically when the door is closed. The bolt slide is available in the following sizes: 80 x 100 mm. Thanks to the galvanised finish, the Garden gate latches are protected against external weather influences.
