What is the Cross hinge used for?
Cross hinges are ideal for fastening doors, gates or even box lids, as they are quick and easy to install. Hinges are usually used for outdoor fastenings.
How is the Hinge constructed and how is it used?
The Flexible Hinge consists of a 400 mm long movable Gate hinge and a Clamps with a Perforated plate. The width/height of the bracket plate is 35 mm and the height/width is 85 mm. The Hinge is attached using 8 holes with a diameter of 5 mm and 2 square holes 9 x 9 mm. The Gate hinge is mounted on a gate or wooden lid and the Perforated plate with Clamps is mounted on a post or crate.
Tip for mounting a crate lid: Where the hinge rests, a piece should be milled into the top edge of the box so that the lid rests flush on the wooden crate.
